Leaky Gut Syndrome Treatment

It’s bad enough to know that all the countless hours spent in hospital appointments and hundreds if not thousands of hard-earned dollars we’re all for naught because of a misdiagnosis. What’s even worse is when you’ve finally found out what the real culprit is yet you don’t know where to start or what process to follow as you’re bombarded with conflicting information about what it is and how to get rid of it for good. Welcome to the ‘Leaky Gut Dilemma’. The more you know about it, the more confused you become. You’re not alone. There are a lot of people around the world who feel exactly like you do.

But don’t worry. The very fact that you’ve come this far to recognize that the leaky gut syndrome is a legitimate health concern is a step in the right direction in and of itself. The next step is to sift through the oodles and oodles of available information and come up with a plan that works for you. It can be intimidating at first but you’ll get the hang of it real soon. The trick is to simplify things. When things are easier to follow, it’s easier to implement. Don’t overwhelm yourself with information that you can’t understand. It’s not only counterproductive; it also is a total waste of time.

There have been a lot of Leaky Gut syndrome treatments out there and so far, this 4 Step Treatment Process is the most widely used by leading holistic doctors. It’s pretty much straightforward yet instructional and could be the kind of treatment that you’ve been looking for. Skim through the process and try to determine whether it would work for you or not. Many have found this treatment very handy and I hope that in the near future, these simple steps would prove invaluable to you.

Simplified Leaky Gut Syndrome Treatment

1.)    Identify the principal causes of inflammation. When the intestinal lining is inflamed, the first thing that needs to be done is to determine what caused it. The most common sources/causes of inflammation are Candida, parasites, food allergies and fungus as well as antibiotics and common pain relief medications particularly Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDS). All of these have been known to cause or aggravate the leaky gut and as soon as you determine which ones are the root causes, get rid of them immediately. Doing so have been documented to bring about drastic relief from the symptoms you might be experiencing. The fact of the matter is that some sources can be avoided like medications and some simply can’t be sidestepped especially those that have already latched on to your system such as Candida, food allergies or parasites. Don’t despair; most can be remedied by simply changing your eating habits though, which brings me to the second step.

2.)    Restore balance to your digestive system. This can be done simply by following an appropriate leaky gut diet and utilizing stress reduction technique. Just a quick refresher: The diet, which I discussed in great detail in my previous article, was essentially about having whole foods diet, cooking foods properly, food ratio regulation, identifying food allergies and avoiding food items that trigger them. The leaky gut diet is designed to help restore the function and balance of the digestive system as well as ridding the body off of toxins that would overwork the liver. On the other hand, stress plays a very big role in leaky gut syndrome and should be dealt with accordingly. There’s a reason why our gut is often being referred to as our second brain as it is the most responsive part of the body to its stimuli. In fact, the digestive system is the only part of the body that embodies/utilizes identical tissues and chemicals to the brain. Long story short: When your brain is fried, chances are, your gut is too so you need to minimize stress as much as you can. There are various techniques that you can try and some of them are biofeedback, self hypnosis, breathing techniques, meditation and other spiritual practices respectively. The key is to learn how to relax and enjoy life whilst rejuvenating your body in the process. Easier said than done but completely achievable. You’ll get there so long as you’re optimistic.

3.)    Restore gut flora. This process basically means allowing the good bacteria or probiotics to flourish in your digestive tract by providing them with a suitable environment where which they can reside healthily. If you followed steps 1 and 2 correctly, you’re in a great shape. Just follow that up with a low-fat diet and limiting your intake of antibiotics (they kill not just the bad but the good bacteria as well) and you’re good to go. The benefits of having good bacteria in your body are endless as they protect your digestive tract from fungi, bacteria, yeast, harmful parasites etc. They also facilitate proper digestion, bowel movement and absorption of food. Sometimes, this step is enough to get rid of the leaky gut syndrome completely. But in worse cases like large leaking cell gaps, you need to do one more thing which is the 4th and final step of the treatment.

4.)    Provide your digestive tract with essential building blocks for total overhaul. This isn’t, by any means going the extra mile or going above and beyond. This step is actually easy to do. You’ve already done the work by following steps 1 to 3 so why should this be difficult, right? The process merely involves choosing the right supplements; plain and simple. You see, supplements expedite the healing process by activating the natural cell repair progression thereby allowing the  large cell gaps to heal back completely; so choosing the right one is crucial. This is where it gets a little bit tricky as there are numerous products out there that promise great, even instant results. Anywhere from probiotics to L-Glutamine, digestive enzymes to Betaine Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) and just about any weird sounding supplements out there that you might not have heard of before. Just be careful and don’t hesitate to do a little bit of research. Be mindful of the fact that just because a certain supplement worked well to some, doesn’t mean that it would do wonders for you too. Consult with your doctor first before proceeding. Your choice could mean the difference between a clean bill of health and a completely squandered opportunity, so choose wisely.

So there you have it. The leaky gut treatment process in 4 easy-to-follow steps. Always bear in mind that all the steps, though straightforward and relatively painless, are interconnected or interdependent with one another. You can’t skip one and still expect favorable results. Follow them from start to finish and hope for the best. The ball is in your court now so make a move.
